The Daily Verse: PSO2, ACIII, Kinect Star Wars, DarSiders 2 and Epic Mickey 2

On today’s ‘Verse, we look at several new awesome trailers and one corny on, including Assassin’s Creed III, Epic Mickey 2 and DarkSiders 2, and Kinect Star Wars. Aside from that, we have some more information Phantasy Star Online 2. So let’s get into it.

Phantasy Star Online 2 Media Briefing Recap
First off, the closed beta for PSO2 will be opening up this month, for those of you so inclined, you can sign up for a random lottery to join. Full details here But, you may ask, what about platforms? Well, for now, only PC. Which is expected to get a full launch this summer. However, 2013 brings some interesting developments, with a Sony Vita version on the way, with promised cross compatibility with the PC version. Not only that, but a new app was announced, that will allow you to manage the social aspects of PSO2 from any Android or iOS device, including managing your shop, and a small single player sidegame. Finally, and most importantly, the game will free to download and play, and will be supported by microtransactions called Arks Cash. Sadly, still no US version officially announced, but it’s easy enough for now, to just play on the Japanese servers.

    Because of Epic Mickey coming to the 3DS. I went to eBay and bought the original game for Genesis to try it out. Also bought Magical Quest for SNES, mainly cause it’s awesome.

    I don’t have a Genesis or a SNES any more but I’d definitely be interested in picking those titles up if they appeared on the eShop leading up to the 3DS game release. 😀
