CBS Bringing Back ‘Bewitched’

CBS is interested in having Bewitched return to television. They have hired Marc Lawrence (Did You Hear About the Morgans?) to draft a pilot.

The original series started in 1964 and lasted eight seasons. It focused on a married couple, Samantha (Elizabeth Montgomery), a witch and Darrin (first Dick York and later Dick Sargent), a mortal.

There was a film version in 2005 starring Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell. The producers on that film, Lucy Fisher and Douglas Wick, will return to executive produce this new project.
