Jamie Dornan Did Not Quit ‘Fifty Shades’ Franchise
A representative for Jamie Dornan has shot down a report suggesting the actor has quit the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise.
The Northern Irish star plays kinky businessman Christian Grey in the first movie based on E. L. James’ book trilogy, and fans had hoped the film’s box office success would pave the way for the production on the two follow-ups, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed.
However, recent reports suggested Dornan had pulled out of plans to appear in the sequels because his wife Amelia Warner felt uncomfortable with the raunchy sex scenes he had to film, but the actor’s representative has now dismissed the story, telling Dailymail.co.uk, “All press reports are pure conjecture as the studio has not committed to a sequel as yet.”
The news comes after studio bosses recently spoke out to deny claims director Sam Taylor-Johnson had quit the franchise after clashing with author E.L. James while making the first film.
