Reese Witherspoon to Star as Tinker Bell in Live-Action Disney Film

Reese Witherspoon will be flying into a theater near you in the future now that it’s been confirmed that she’ll be starring in Disney’s upcoming Tinker Bell live-action film.

In addition to starring, Witherspoon is producing the film, titled Tink, as well actress is attached to star in and produce Tink, a live-action take on the classic Peter Pan character Tinker Bell.

You can read details on what we know of the film below(via The Hollywood Reporter):

Details on the project’s angle are being kept deep in Pixie Hollow, but insiders say it will play with the idea and the timeline of the well-known Peter Pan narrative. It is also being developed in the vein of Maleficent, Disney’s 2014 hit that starred Angelina Jolie as the evil witch from Sleeping Beauty. Like Maleficent, this Tinker Bell tale is conceived as “the story you don’t know,” and will offer a new perspective on the character.

It’s also being reported that Victoria Strouse, the mind behind the long-awaited Finding Nemo sequel, Finding Dory, will write the film’s script.

What do you think of Reese playing the role of the iconic fairy? Is there anyone else you would have preferred to see cast? Talk to us in the comments below!
