Disney Reveals First ‘Alice Through The Looking Glass’ Posters

Fans were excited to learn information on the Alice in Wonderland sequel, Alice Through The Looking Glass, during Disney’s D23 Expo.

The sequel will see the return of Mia Wasikowska as Alice and Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, and during Disney’s annual expo, fans learned that Alice would be returning to the the world of Underland in hopes of saving the Mad Hatter, who is “growing darker.”

A new character that will be introduced in the sequel is Time, played by Sacha Baron Cohen. The character is part human, part clock and is the only person who can help Alice save her friend. The result is Alice having her own little time travel adventure, which will allow her to meet younger versions of “the characters we know and love.” Looks like we’ll get some backstory on how the Mad Hatter went mad.

The network also revealed the first two theatrical posters from the film, one featuring Alice and the other featuring the Mad Hatter (click to enlarge):

Alice Through The Looking Glass will see the return of Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham, Alan Rickman, Stephen Fry, Michael Sheen and Timothy Spall. In addition to newcomer Sacha Baron Cohen, Rhys Ifans has also joined the cast as Zanik Hightopp, the Mad Hatter’s father.

Alice Through The Looking Glass heads to theaters on May 27, 2016.
