‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ Premiere Delivers Killer Numbers
The numbers are in and American Horror Story: Hotel premiered last week to some pretty killer ratings.
The fifth season of the series, which is set in the beautifully seedy Hotel Cortez in Los Angeles, delivered 12.17 million viewers on linear and non-linear platforms. The episode currently ranks #3 in delivery of adults and #5 in adults 18-49 for all series premieres, new and returning, this fall.
Ryan Murphy’s Emmy® and Golden Globe® winning franchise got lots of social love as well, with 878,336 tweets and over 42.5 million impressions.
The new season marks the debut of new AHS lead Lady Gaga and it appears that FX’s hard-to-miss marketing of her addition to the cast worked.
AHS: Hotel returns tomorrow night as fashion mogul Will Drake (Cheyenne Jackson) brings couture to the Hotel Cortez. Naomi Campbell will make her first AHS appearance as well, as a model who catches The Countess’s eye.
Fans can also look forward to Evan Peters’ first Hotel appearance tomorrow night as the hotel’s sadistic first owner, Mr. March.
