Atlanta Filming Weekly Roundup: ‘Passengers,’ ‘Stranger Things’ and More!

What’s filming in Atlanta now? Despite a number of projects having wrapped already for the year, there was actually a lot of sightings around the city this week, from multiple instagrams from Wil Wheaton exploring the city (and fighting Atlanta traffic) to multiple projects seen filming around the city. Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life starring Lauren Graham was spotted along with Netflix’s new project Stranger Things starring Winona Ryder. Not to mention, Passengers is filming today at the Atlanta airport.

Atlanta Filming: Coming Soon

• Edgar Wright’s new film Baby Driver will film in Atlanta (The film stars Jon Hamm, Jamie Foxx, Kevin Spacey, Lily James, and Ansel Elgort)
• It’s confirmed that the new Spider-Man will film in Atlanta
• Divergent: Allegiant Part 2 will film 12/13 – 12/20 before likely pausing for Christmas
• Jermaine Dupree and Queen Latifah’s new Lifetime series The Rap Game will film in Atlanta
• A Tupac biopic, All Eyez On Me, is set to shoot in the state soon and are looking for crew members
• Rumors are circling that we might land  Jurassic World 2
• Donald Glover’s FX comedy Atlanta was picked up for a full season and will film here in the near future
• Lee Daniels’ new series Star will shoot in Atlanta beginning this month!
• Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will film in Atlanta beginning in February 2016 (the exact date is rumored to be Feb 15th)
• Will Packer is developing a TV show for NBC called Buckhead, and that will be filmed, you guessed it, in Buckhead!
• Daniel Radcliffe’s new film Young Americans is heading to Atlanta to film

Atlanta Filming Spotted: Currently in Production

• Passengers (starring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt) is filming today at the Atlanta airport.
• Netflix’s Stranger Things was spotted filming south of the city in Stockbridge.
• Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life was spotted on Wednesday filming off Irwin in the MLK historical area.
• Bravo’s new pilot True Fiction was spotted on Wednesday filming at Oxford College in Covington.
