Exclusive: Director Jenni Gold Talks Inclusion, Diversity, and ‘CinemAbility’

Inclusion and diversity are huge talking points in Hollywood. During set visits or interviews, showrunners and directors always mention that they are looking at more ways to diversify the teams in front of and behind the camera. Yet, there’s a group that always seems to be missing from these discussions. Those with disabilities are a minority that are severely lacking from the silver and small screen.

Even I do not feel that represented in the industry, being partially deaf. Sometimes that disability is played off for laughs, but what about others out there who look to the entertainment medium for a source of inspiration? Where are their heroes? Well, we have an exclusive interview with an amazing woman who is looking to solve that!

We got to talk to director Jenni Gold about this issue and her new documentary CinemAbility.
