‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2 Wont Be Delayed Due to COVID

The Mandalorian Season 2

While the entertainment industry has halted due to COVID-19, and many pop culture favorites are in a delayed state, Star Wars fans got some positive news today. The Mandalorian‘s second season won’t be impacted by the coronavirus.

Bob Chapek, Disney CEO, mentioned the series when discussing the reopening of it’s Shanghai theme park on Monday. The park was closed for 15 weeks due to COVID-19 and has reopened at 30% capacity. Chapek said guests are being diligent in wearing masks and following social distancing at the park.

In terms of The Mandalorian, the second season was finished before the COVID-19 pandemic. While post-production has never happened during a pandemic, they expect no delays to push the series’ second season back. This will be big for Disney + as it’s been revealed that many series’ and films are experiencing delays due to COVID.

Now is the perfect time to catch up on The Mandalorian if you haven’t seen it yet. The anticipated release for season 2 is October of this year. That gives you plenty of time to fall in love with The Child and stock up on merch. There’s plenty of it, hopefully, on the horizon to add to your pop culture collection.
