Millie Bobby Brown Talks Britney Spears, ‘Stranger Things’, and More

Millie Bobby Brown

Millie Bobby Brown made a stop by The Drew Barrymore Show this week. And the Stranger Things star chatted about everything from her career goals to kissing her Enola Holmes 2 and more.

When it comes to career goals, Brown reveals that she’d love to be cast as Britney Spears in a biopic of the pop star’s life.

Brown, 18, spoke about her desire to play the singer, saying that Spears’ story “resonates” with her. And she’d love the challenge of portraying a real person versus a fictional character.

“I wanna play a real person. I think her story, first of all, resonates with me.” Brown says during her appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show.

Brown goes on to say that her experience of growing up in the public eye has allowed her to recognize pieces of herself in some of Spears’ older interviews.

“I mean, same thing with you,” Brown continues, referencing Barrymore’s own career. “I see the scramble for words, and I don’t know her, but, when I look at pictures of her, I feel like I could tell her story in the right way. And hers only.”

Additionally, Brown went on to say that she really appreciates what the Duffer Brothers, Matt and Ross (Stranger Things creators), did with her character in Stranger Things Season 4.

“I think what’s really nice is that the Duffer Brothers were shining a light on what kids go through during high school,” Brown states. “It’s not an easy time, especially for young girls out there, struggling with their identity and who they are with the influences of everyone around them, their environments, the people, their families, and friends, trying to fit in.”

“So it’s been a really nice time portraying that storyline for me. Because I think it’s influential. And it definitely helps me get through that time as well.” Brown adds.

Recalling Her Kiss with Co-Star Louis Partridge

Brown also revealed that her Enola Holmes 2 co-star, Louis Partridge, was a bit nervous about their kissing scene in the recently released Netflix film.

“I was like dude, like it’s not a big deal. My first kiss was in front of my dad on screen,” Brown recalls telling him. “Nothing phases me at this point.”

“I just grabbed him and gave him a kiss and he was like [gasping noise].” Brown added.
